Another day, another case
Well it appears Pad & Quill now have a 'Little Black Book'. Available for only $39.99 it does look amazing, but maybe a little too bulky for an iPhone case?

So we need an App to get the free iPhone 4 Bumper!? Oh OK then.

Get an iPhone 4 Bumper or case at no charge.
Follow these steps to apply for a Bumper or case.
- Download the iPhone 4 Case Program app from the App Store.
- Launch the app on your iPhone 4 and sign in using your iTunes Store account or Apple ID.
- Select your Bumper or case.
For iPhone 4 purchases made before July 23, 2010, you must apply no later than August 22, 2010; otherwise, you must apply within 30 days of your iPhone 4 purchase. To qualify for this program, you must purchase your iPhone 4 by September 30, 2010.

Using the app was straight forward, select from one of the case options, confirm your chohce and enter your address, Delivery on all cases is 3-5 weeks.
I opted for a Incase Clear Snap rather then the official Bumper. What case did you go for and why?
BBC iPhone App's
It's been available in the US for some time, but finally the BBC have launched the BBC News app for the iPhone and iPad.
The free to download app has been delayed while the BBC Trust, the corporation's governing body, assessed the proposals and their impact on the rest of the industry.
The app includes updated news stories as well as live video streaming access to the BBC News 24 channel.Whilst the app's launched today are only for Apple's iPhone and iPad's other devices such as Andriod based devices wil be available later in the year as will similar apps such as BBC Sport and iPlayer. Antenna-gate
The iPhone 4 launched to the usual fanfare, but peoples user experiences soon started to show issues in the new design. Was this move by Apple to provide design over functionality or simply a step too far in terms of technology. In terms of the signal display, surely this area of the software hadn't actually changed that much between iPhone versions. Whilst I understand the display has no effect on call drop outs, did they really need to rush out an update that simply changes the way the single is reported? How many of us look at the signal just before we are about to make or receive a call? Its not something I personally look at. As a result of these issues, Apple had to come out and explain the whole situation to the mass-market. What disappoints me is the way Apple has handled the situation. Why do a direct compassion against other manufactures. That's not the way I expect Apple to react. Further information can be found here http://www.apple.com/antenna/ Apple will not recall the iPhone 4 and as a result have offered for a short period of time a free case or bumper worth £25. The question has be raised. What happens after September 30th when cases are no longer supplied free of charge. Will there be an iPhone 4.5 launched with a hardware modification or will Apple expect its loyal customer base to purchase a case. Only time will tell. What are your thoughts?
